Anemia
Anemia occurs when red blood cells (RBCs), hemoglobin, or both are reduced, which are crucial for carrying oxygen throughout the body.
Causes of anemia?
Anemia can leave dogs weak, tired, and less able to tolerate physical activity. It is not a disease but rather a clinical sign of an underlying issue, ranging from mild and treatable to severe and life-threatening. Many things, including blood loss, lack of nutrients, and parasites, can cause anemia. Medications that suppress bone marrow function and the production of red blood cells, like chemotherapy, can also cause anemia.
