Bison Spleen

The spleen is an important part of the immune system. It clears out old blood cells, and stores white blood cells and platelets, which are both important in fighting off infections.

Why we feed?

Although the liver is densely packed with nutrients it can only make up 5% of your dog’s raw diet. Another secreting organ like the spleen or kidney is required to provide enough vitamins and minerals.

How to feed?

Introduce slowly. Organ is very rich and is easy to overfeed. Most dogs love organ meats, but if yours is picky, you can make organ cubes, which consists of ground up organ mixed with ground up meat, goat’s milk, kefir, veggie blend, or bone broth.
