Ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid, also known as synthetic Vitamin C. Natural vitamin C is composed of the cofactors rutin, bioflavonoids, Factor K, Factor P, tyrosinase, Ascorbinase, and other components, which all work together. Synthetic vitamin C is ascorbic acid only.

Why we feed?

Dogs can only synthesize small amounts of vitamin C, which promotes a healthy immune system, healthy joints, and healthy cartilage in dogs.

How to feed?

Fruits and vegetables are the best sources of vitamin C. Citrus (oranges, kiwi, lemon, grapefruit), bell peppers, strawberries, cauliflower, and white potatoes. Feed citrus sparingly to avoid GI upset.
