Turmeric  is a popular spice in Indian cuisine containing a special anti-cancer compound, curcumin. Three mechanisms of curcumin aid in cancer prevention and treatment: inhibition of cell proliferation, induce apoptosis, and inhibition of angiogenesis.

Several vegetables, such as celery, broccoli, carrots, green peppers, and artichokes, contain luteolin. Luteolin  is a naturally occurring flavonoid compound within the group of plant compounds known as flavones. Flavonoids, including luteolin, are renowned for possessing antioxidant, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory properties.
