Turmeric
Turmeric is a bright yellow spice derived from the root of the plant Curcuma longa, which belongs to the ginger family. It has been used for centuries in cooking, traditional medicine, and as a natural dye. The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, is known for its potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and potential health-promoting properties.
Why we feed?
Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants, which come from the active ingredient. It is used in both traditional and modern medicine to manage conditions such as arthritis, digestive disorders, and skin issues.

How to feed?
Curcumin is absorbed into the system easier when eaten with a fat or black pepper, so usually turmeric is used in making red golden paste (a mixture of turmeric, water, black pepper, and a fat). You can use animal fat or coconut oil. The paste can be then put in the fridge, or scooped into ice cube trays and given to your dog every day.
